Ria helped put the revitalization of Grant Park on the map.

Her buttermilk pancakes were terrific. I had many a good conversation and cup of coffee at her place.

Sad, indeed. A neighborhood's revitalization comes about because of people like her, not government.

Huge loss for our neighborhood. I didn't know her, but frequented the restaurant. She revitalized Grant Park, opening the door for all of the other restaurants on Memorial, and that is an awesome legacy to leave. RIP.

She will be missed. I was just a patron of her restaurant, but I know several who know her and I can tell she was very beloved.

Funeral is Saturday at noon at Westview Cemtery. Procession will line up at Ria's Bluebird starting at 9:30. Hot Rods get there early to be at front of procession.
