If so I bet we could get a whopping lawsuit here in the COA. Tea party, come on down!
No, they don't. Otherwise the federal government would be out of business.

Very good point.

Maybe the Tea party has found some way around it this time? They don't like to taking no for an answer.

Cobb Commission Chair Tim Lee spent his career working for a company that has the Braves as a customer: Daily Agenda - Atlanta Magazine

Time will tell if there is any more to this.

Arjay - As you have posted before, it's going to be very interesting to see how this all works out.

This is how you promote jobs: Atlanta City Council Exempts Manufacturers From Inventory Tax - Government - Midtown, GA Patch

Provide incentives / eliminate taxes for everyone across the board. Not just for the individual businesses you are buddy-buddy with one by one.

You mean like the city of Atlanta bond issues of $60 million for the Yoo tower in Midtown, $63 million for Skyhouse (100 6th street) and $30 million for Aerotropolis? Or the bonds issued by Fulton county for $120 million for Newell Rubbermaid and $90 million for Pulte?

Nope. Not like those. Those are bad policy, unless they are available to all businesses.

Looks like some big hitters in commercial real estate are gearing up for Cobb. That's definitely one advantage the new location has.

So they are bidding on the land that the Braves were given for free? But the Braves are still going to run whatever they develop?

Any word on what is going to go in on the other land near by that was bought just before the Braves deal was publicly announced?

I'm sure the Braves will be more than happy to partner with a high quality developer. After all, they are essentially still a baseball team/media organization.

No doubt they are eager to get moving, after the COA dinked around forever with the old Turner field area. It really hasn't improved all that much since the original stadium was built half a century ago.
