Hello All,

I will have a new job in Norcross in January 2014. I have a kid of 7 and a girl of 2. I do not know anything from GA and I am looking a nice play to raise a family. I am avoiding the "guetto" (no offences). What suggestions you have for me? I know that Gwinnett County has the best schools.

Thanks for your help!

I don't know how much your budget is for housing, and I don't know what kind of housing that you are looking for (Apartment, Condo, Townhome, Detached Single-Family Home?).

But if you are going to be working in Norcross, a good place to start your search would be in the feeder zone for Norcross High School in the Peachtree Corners/30092 zip code area of Gwinnett County just to the north and west of the incorporated city of Norcross.

The Peachtree Corners area has good schools, low-crime, and lots of the amenities in the form of a variety of shopping options along the Georgia Highway 141 Peachtree Parkway corridor.

The Peachtree Corners area also has a variety of good housing options for people of all income levels, from million-dollar homes on the banks of the Chattahoochee River to affordably-priced and modest, but well-kept apartments, condos and townhomes.

Other great places to look nearby are in the feeder zones for Duluth, Peachtree Ridge and North Gwinnett high schools.

Again, I don't know how much your budget is for housing, but you would be best-advised to STAY OUT OF the Norcross 30071 and Norcross 30093 zip codes where many residential areas are in a transitional state of decline.
