Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2014 announced - ESPN

Great honor for two of the greatest pitchers in history and one of the best managers.

Those were the days.

Man, indeed they were the days. I've never felt so much excitement in this city than during MLB playoff season for the 6 or 7 years in the 90s.

Agreed! The entire lineup of the 90s Braves deserve to be in the Hall of Fame.

And only one World Series win?

Those World Series' and NLCS' losses were rigged. A total anti-Southern and anti-Atlanta conspiracy...

Well that's a bit of an exaggeration, but these three are definitely deserving.

Tongue planted firmly in cheek I hope. The Braves have always been a team that hasn't done well deep into the postseason. Not sure if it was a byproduct of all the success that rotation had, and all the innings they threw, or a lack of run production, but the Braves have really choked in World Series and NCLS.

I still root for them as my NL team, but they should have beaten the Yankees in 1996, and the Twins in 1991 for sure.

These are the two that my brother and I always discuss that the Braves should've won as well. I especially feel strongly about 1996.

And the funny thing is...the Braves only had to win one more World Series to get full credibility--and there would be no discussions/questions about choking, whether they were the Team of the 90s, etc, etc. It may seem small on paper, but two World Series wins with 14-straight pennant-titles is a million times more legit than just one World Series title over that run.

1995 and 1996--imagine.

What was remarkable is Leo Mazzone was one if the last old school pitching coaches, and the Braves were one of the last to use the 4 man rotation. Not that Maddux and Glavine weren't two of the best who deserve to be in the HOF, but their win totals and stats were definitely helped by the way Cox and Mazzone managed their pitchers.
