Husband works in Alpharetta near Verizon Ampitheater/North Point Mall; I work downtown on Centennial Park.

How hellish would our commutes be from this area?

I know Whitlock can be God awful.

Welcome any feedback!

Thanks!

Maria

Do y'all live there now? Or are y'all trying to pick a place to live?

You are very correct that (largely because of the physical and political inability of the State of Georgia to widen the road through a historical area on the westside of the City of Marietta) GA 120 Whitlock Avenue can be quite a challenge to maneuver through during morning and afternoon/evening rush hours.

Your commutes can and will be hellish on many days (particularly on days where ANY type of precipitation of even the most minimal amounts will be involved) from that area (West Cobb County west of Barrett Parkway/West Cobb Parkway).

Between the Heritage Oaks subdivision of West Cobb and the Centennial Olympic Park area you can likely expect a one-way rush-hour commute that will range from about 45 minutes (on very good days) to an hour or more (on not-so-good days) each way.

Between the Heritage Oaks subdivision of West Cobb and the North Point Mall area of Alpharetta in North Fulton County, your husband can likely expect a one-way rush-hour commute of roughly between 45-55 minutes each way on most days.
