I enjoy a good fish taco. Who does the best fish tacos in your opinion? I'm aware of and love Zesto.

Ugh, I've lived in the Atlanta area my entire life and there's no such thing as "great" when it comes to anything seafood related.

But as a fan of fish tacos, and also tacos in general, El Taco in the VA Highlands does it well-ish, as the caper mayo makes it and I say that as someone who usually hates mayo and capers. Their smoked chicken taco is even better though. They're also super accommodating to add-ons, be it lettuce, sour cream, salsa, guac., veggies, etc.

It's a bizarre atmosphere that I'm not entirely a fan of, mostly because it confuses me. The place doesn't know what it wants to be (kid friendly, yet they spin a wheel where someone "wins" a free tequila shot?), but the tacos are decent, the environment is warm and the staff is A+.

Maybe I am just too old and cranky.

wow— you waited 45 minutes? i went in there and the pizza was out faster than any pizza place i know of; since they keep the ovens so hot, they only take about 90 seconds to cook the pizza.

bring a friend and a bottle of wine or two. try out the olive oil and various additions they leave near the ovens. i think it's a blast.

Whether food is good, great or not is highly subjective. There is no use in having a debate over it. Everyone has different taste buds. I appreciate the answer that you provided.

I liked Twisted Taco on Wieuca. The taste was somewhat TexMex I'd say and also very filling - I ordered three but could only finish two. I'm not sure of all the options but one had tilapia, another had mahi mahi, and the third was with shrimp, and I really like the red cabbage slaw in one.

Pappasito's on Windy Hill is good as well. I have not had a fish taco there, but I have had the seafood enchiladas. - shrimp, scallops, crawfish, lots of cheese, avocado, etc. It's an indulgence for sure; I'd guess 1,000 calories strong but I can do without the details. At any rate, I'd assume their fish tacos would taste awesome as well.

Generally in a Mexican restaurant I get shrimp fajitas, chile rellenos, or pinto beans depending on my mood.

@ Waronxmas, I'll be sure to arrive early because I'd be genuinely irked if I went to grab a slice and there wasn't one.

@ Arjay57, I'm kind of easy on presentation as long as it looks sanitary and tastes good lol.

Gotta vote for Twisted Taco's fish tacos. They are very good! And, oddly enough, Gordon Biersch has good fish tacos. And for the person who posted that Atlanta doesn't have good seafood - well, I don't know where you've tried, but we have some great seafood: Lobster Bar, Oceanaire, Steamhouse, Atlanta Fish Market, and many others in varying price ranges.
