Please help?? I'm incorporated as an s-corp in Ga. I run a contract trucking company. I'm moving to New Hampshire and selling my business but this may take a while. My equipment, employees and all my work will still staying in GA. Does anybody know if I can stay inc in GA but live elsewhere? How would I handle plating my vehicles and paying unemployment or even handling my mail? Any insight will be appreciated

Yes, most definitely. Talk to an attorney though to do this properly. I am assuming since this is your company you are currently the registered agent. Once you move to NH you will need someone in GA to be your registered agent. The rest your CPA should be able to handle.

I am the registered agent but could easily make my manager take that role. Thanks for the information.

Where the corporation is incorporated, where the owner lives, and where the corporation operates can all be different.

If your manager doesn't want to be the RA you can always use a service.

I have LPs and C-Corps in Delaware, and I have never lived there.

If you will be "transacting business" in NH you might have to get a certificate of authority to transact business as a foreign corporation. I have no clue what NH defines "transacting business" as.

*I would contact a lawyer.
