I was actually just searching the internet for anything happening in Lindbergh. Piedmont road from at least Sidney Marcus to Garson needs to be made more pedestrian friendly. This would remove a barrier and allow more people to reach Lindbergh City Center. There is a lot of vacant space and I shed a little tear when Five Guys left last year. Expanding the development without some work on Piedmont will just lead to more vacant spaces.

So basically MARTA wants to build on top of its entrance. Interesting!

I mean heck, if they can get it done, then sure, why not?

Surprised this hasn't been done at the Midtown MARTA stop yet since that area is almost built out

I think the issue there is that there's not enough material under the station building itself to manage a large project.

By contrast, the Peachtree Center station land in the RFP is just an escalator, with solid ground around it. There's much more support for some kind of structure.

Is this the vacant lot next to Georgia Pacific? I always wondered why they didn't do something with that parcel, given its prime location.
