Yo what's going down this weekend? I'm hoping to go to east Atlanta village, little 5 points and Decatur.... Any concerts festivals or events that are noteworthy this weekend ? Anyone know the best disc golf courses in the area? Can you suggest outdoor activities?

Thanks.

Check this site each day for some ideas:

ATL Todo

As for concerts:

Deerhunter and Black Lips, two of our most successful local rock bands are playing at Variety Playhouse in Little Five Points on Friday. It's sold out, but you might be able to score tickets.

St. Vincent will be at the Tabernacle on Saturday. Downtown next to Centennial Park.

Ex Hex is at the Earl in East Atlanta Village on Sunday.

I'd like to see all three of these shows, but Ex Hex is probably the only one I'll make it to. I've been a fan of their singer/guitarist, Mary Timony, for a long time.

I like to walk around walkable areas, which is why I Plan to visit the mentioned neighborhoods. I like to hang out in coffee shops, and I love disc golf and hiking and being outside. I also love music and going to parks.

Anyone wanna hang out this weekend?

- Piedmont Park and Eastside Trail (both are next to each other) . The Eastside Trail is at the corner of 10th St and Monroe Dr. This is probably the most active trail in Atlanta. Check out Piedmont Park which is our largest park.

- Freedom Parkway Trail is off of the EastsideTrail. It's about 5-10 miles.

-Stone Mountain. Take a drive 30 mins outside the city and hike up and around Stone Mountain. The view of the city is great.

-Silver Comet Trail. Trail that goes from the Atlanta suburbs to Alabama. You can rent a bike on this trail

I did a project in grad school lasts semester on the beltline so I will definitely be going there to check it out. I have been to stone mountain several times, and thank you all for the suggestions. Does nobody in Atlanta play disc golf?

Also my next stop is Charlotte. You guys think its worth the drive over to the triangle to check it out or not?

Yeah, thankfully someone stepped up after the FunServ listing went defunct.
