Hello,

I need to find a good hair stylist in ATL that specializes in hair growth( length and volume) I have a perm but if possible would like to stop( without cutting my hair and without it being kinky...like I want to get it pressed or sumthing) But I just need someone that does well, doesnt cost that much( broke college student here)...I hear the the Dominicans are good...but do they help grow your hair? They would be perfect cuz It close and cheap...HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Hi Hamilah

please check forum for Looking for Dominican Hair Stylists in Locust Grove and Bufurd Gwinnett ( 1 2 3)

I typed some information i came across and some others did. Dominican is the best and reasonable prices. I have yet to go to one in atl since i only moved in just 4 months ago so i haven't looked around yet. but will start this weekend..got a party to go to soon. please let me know of your find...i promise they do wonders. just hang out for a while and see the ladies transformation. just be aware some might not speak english ,but they usually have at least one person that does so make sure you speak to that person . worthwhile...YES!!

Default I agree

I just moved here and I had my first Dominican experience. I was not dissapointed. I'm also promoting healthy hair for myself this year. I had my hair cut, wash and set and my hair looks so healthy already. My SIL has been going to Dominican's for a while and her hair has grown so much and best of all....it's healthy. I go to a new Salon called Glady's Dominican Hair Salon. Very friendly staff and clean atmosphere. This is located in Norcross off Jimmy Carter Blvd like a lot of the other Salon's. Just take exit 99 off I-85 and you won't have any problem finding one.

I would like to know does anyone know of a hair salon that uses
"etae products" in the Atl.? My salon in Philly has been using this product on my hair for the last year and it has worked wonders on my hair and I would like to continue using this product in a salon if anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated. I will be the Atl in 08.

Where in Atlanta do you live? Dominican hair salons are the best in maintaining hair growth and volume. There's a new one in Alpharetta: Juanita's Hair Salon at 4150 Old Milton Parkway. There are also several in Marietta, and Kennesaw, and many in Norcross.

I actually go to a Black owned Private Salon in Douglasville and they are amazing!! When I first started going there, I had just cut my hair and it was pretty short,it was also natural, I tried their version of kinky twists and after a year my hair had grown 5- 6 inches. SalonTres Belle (404-668-1199 or 678-499-4747) is definitely amazing and I recommend it to all my friends!

I agree that the Dominican Salons are good, but I wouldn't confine myself to just them. I have been dealing with the SAME stylist for 7 years on the southside in Jonesboro. I get the same effect as in a Dominican Salon. It just depends on your stylist not the type of salon or stylist you go to honestly.
