Hello, my wife found a job in Douglasville and we are moving from Columbus Ohio. What area in Douglasville or close to it has a good school district. We originally were going to move to Lawrenceville but that's the opposite side of town. And we are willing to spend up to $1500 on rent for a house

Default Douglasville resident

For $1500 you can get a nice place. Best area for schools in Douglas County are the Alexander High School/ Fairplay middle school zone. Stay as far away from the north and east side of the county as possible...the schools are awful. You could also move to the Carrollton area, some nice housing/schools in that area. Douglas County has had some issues since I moved here 9 years ago but it still is better than other burb areas around ATL. Good luck with your relocation.

I second gecko6's suggestion of the Alexander High School attendance zone.

I have some friends that recently moved from Carroll County into the attendance zone for Alexander High School in Douglas County because the schools are better in Douglas County.
