that's exactly what I was thinking. What a shame. Especially with Cobb.

My thought, too.

When Cobb is ready they will jump in with both feet and do transit like nobody's business. Look at how they've handled the Braves situation.

Those folks up there just don't like to be pushed.

Not even in this case. Cobb, Gwinnett and MARTA in the same sentence made it an easy one to see....

I can see Gwinnett in the not too distant future if they can figure out a way to do it without Atlanta running MARTA. That would be a non-starter. But then it might be a non-starter for Atlanta.

Maybe the Cumberland improvement district gets in w/o the rest of Cobb. They have really been pushing projects. And now they have the Braves coming.

And sadly at least one Cobb official specically called out MARTA and basically said that it won't happen. And what I mean is that he (and one can assume others) will still oppose MARTA because to them it's about as they said years ago... stopping "Atlanta" at the river wink wink.

I too, fear someone riding a train to a stop near my house... robbing me.... and then taking it all back to the city on MARTA....

I.doubt anyone would ride MARTA to rob you. I would be more afraid of all the people in cars.

I think Atlanta is doing just fine without Cobb. Probably would do even better if it didn't have it
