I seriously cant wait! Too bad I didn't see that there was a celebration planned outside in Downtown. Won't be able to make it out of work earlier enough.

That is impressive. 11,000 reservations for what will be around 20,000 seats a game and three years away from playing their first game. I wonder how many new season ticket holders the Falcons have secured for the new stadium?

Do you think as the first kick off gets nearer (maybe a year out) they might have to re-evaluate whether 20,000 will actually be enough of a capacity?
I honestly believe the MLS team here is going to blow up big time. There is a real appetite for soccer in this city.
I love going to the Braves but once they head to Cobb I'm much more inclined to head to the new Falcons stadium for some footy

I was just thinking the same thing. I think we're capable of having 40k seats for a game, if not more.
The great thing about this convertible stadium is that more seats can be opened quite easily. That's why I'm glad we didn't go with a tiny soccer specific stadium. If football is going to take off in this country, we need to be draw and seat just as many fans as the NFL does for a match.
