I wish I would have seen this thread before I made my "Ellenwood Development?" thread... It just underlines what I said there - why so much development in an area that STOPS for 4-5 months out of the year when areas like Ellenwood (Conley and surrounding areas), that has great weather year round and plenty of open space, great road access and potential - gets nothing? I'm not hating Atlanta, I just do not see the sense of making people travel through black ice, frozen temps, crazy traffic, and no parking 1/4th of the year when a much more comfortable area is directly south (and NO Ellenwood is not crime infested either). It's not like Atlanta needs the business like those other communities either.

Most of these developments are residential and cater towards Millennials and baby boomers who want to live in an urban district, something Ellenwood and Conley do not have.

Thank you. I located the footprint. It's gonna be pretty sexy building from the renderings. I guess the views are too distracting for students though.

It's an intriguing building. Looks like the way it's designed basically gives everyone in that building a view.

What about Rex, Forest Park, Morrow? Heck, how about Bainbridge? It is pretty clear why MetLife would choose Midtown over small OTP communities. And be assured, Midtown doesn't shut down 1/4 of the year.

I would love to see year-over-year sales figures for that Plaza Publix for the next few years. They (developers) built it; they (residents) came.
