I really don't see how this building can be saved. It has decades of exposure to the elements, probably several tons of pigeon poop, and god knows how many vagrants living there over the years. This one is probably too far gone.

That place is so depressing looking. Just its demolition will make the area seem a lot nicer.

It is one of the few art moderne buildings in Atlanta. It would be great to see it restored. I certainly hope this is the case.

I saw "South Atlanta" in the thread title and was highly confused.

Anyway, I guess MMPT plans will have to be altered, if it ever gets built at all...

As much as I love modern buildings I would have to disagree with Docomomo on this one. From an aesthetic standpoint I like it. However, in terms of history, it has long been somewhat "on the fringe" and it was really not in use for very long.

I do hope it doesn't become just another vacant lot.
