We're relocating from the DC area in 4 weeks and buying a home in the Lawrenceville area within the next 1-2 months. I have to start my job mid June so we need to find furnished housing asap. We have a 5 year old and have looked into generic extended stays and they just don't seem ideal. I've check airbnb.com and craigslist - are there any other places that I should be looking?

what price range are you looking for? Week? Month?

If you have not started the "buying" process I would figure 2-3month in Temp Place.

I would look for corporate apartments, many complexes will do this for you. (furnished, etc)

We're looking for something for about 2 months. We'd like to stay under $2000/month.

Hey Sheree! I have family that moved down from Deanwood. You know where that is in DC? They moved because DC so expensive now and growing and changing so quickly from before. It's almost like New York these days. You will like Atlanta because it is a Southern town and not so hectic and very very cheep.

Is that why you moved?

Here's a link to an information page for the AMLI at McGinnis Ferry Apartments which provides temporary, corporate and executive housing at a quality that is infinitely much higher than a generic extended stay. I don't know what the pricing and availability may be, but the location is in Suwanee which relatively very-close to Lawrenceville as it is the next town up from Lawrenceville up the I-85 NE corridor. You can click on the link and contact them to see if the monthly pricing of the gated complex is something that you can afford:

tarnishaluvsdontae, that's exactly why we decided to move. When it came time to buy a house it around DC we realized that we couldn't have it all - good schools, sq footage, low crime, etc...

My job had a position open in Lawrenceville so I applied right away. I think we'll be extremely happy in Georgia.

Thank you, Born 2 Roll

Suwanee is actually one of the main places that we're looking for real estate also....looking into the pricing now.
