No surprise there. Road has been resurfaced a couple years ago plus the cops enforce but they aren't always out between Panola and Turner Hill Road.

Its pretty much a free for all on the roads of Fulton County. Just keep it somewhat under 80 and you can do whatever you want.
This sounds about right, I run red lights all the time in Atlanta, you can kinda treat them like 4 way stop signs. I Think APD has bigger fish to fry.

Atlanta’s notable underground illegal street racing culture struck again on Saturday night when a flash mob shut down Interstate 285 for cars to drift race perform illegal donuts in the middle of the roadway in the tunnel under the 5th runway at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

A link to the Twitter video that the street racers shot while illegally doing donuts in the middle of an illegally shut down I-285 roadway is included within the WSB story linked to below:

They do know better, but they do it anyway because it’s dangerous and to them, the danger is fun at their age.

If adults want to do something dangerous to themselves that's their business, but don't impact others.

Although this thread is nearly 6 years old, motorcycles have very little chance at getting caught. It's just the cold reality (I'm not for it, but its extremely difficult if not impossible for the average cruiser to catch them.) I knew of a few people in Alpharetta who regularly teased cops up and down GA-400, start a pursuit then dash off into the triple digits where the cop usually just gave up, or some who even passed cops checking speeds on the shoulder while they were going well over 100 and the cop didn't even bother trying to pursue them (because they can't.)

The other problem with bikers, is there's usually more than just 1 of them in the area, and by more I mean MANY more...and picking up the wrong one could mean a death sentence if its involved in a gang, and more often than not they're also packing heat. This is why when they're idiots, I just let them go. It's impossible to win against them.

The street racers and drifters... ...well thats just stupid. Dashcam and Tags - thats all you need to end that mess. They do that stuff in L.A. all the time.

285 is kinda treated like a NASCAR track any time of day. I instantly allot an extra three hours to my schedule to get past Atlanta. The lane-change, generally aggressive driving culture of Atlanta creates its own traffic.

Good luck. No more land for another loop. No room to pull people over on 285. I’ve seen way worse drivers, but I really wish y’all luck for your road situation in Atlanta.
