I'm watching sports center right now and while talking about the US/Portugal game they showed crowd reaction from various gatherings in Chicago, La, NY and even Kansas City. My question is where in Atlanta is there a public gathering to watch the us play? Those crowds were huge and the TV was big enough that people could watch I'm sure ATL has this somewhere?

Centennial Olympic Park is probably the most ideal place. Its owned by the GWCC and they have the knowledge of hosting large events.

Brookhaven Park's "SoccerFest" was packed yesterday. I believe they were anticipating crowds of over 5,000, and easily hit those numbers.

Wow. They did get quite a crowd. I was considering going there.

A lot of the soccer bars near me were so packed they were overflowing into the street.

It seems ESPN worked with MLS clubs to have organized watch parties they could film for reactions. Given that our MLS franchise is in the zygote phase, they probably thought there wouldn't be huge crowds to tape reactions of here in Atlanta. LOLZ

Hudson Grille in Midtown was jam packed and rowdy, for sure. I imagine a dozen other places within walking distance were likewise.
