I have to agree with most of the posters here. Do whatever you can to avoid tying up your money like that. Stay liquid. I'm sure there are plenty of apartments that will work with your situation.

As for 850 a month, look to Marietta or Kennesaw. Close to I-75 so you can easily commute to your interviews. It's OTP but it will get you a decent place and since your business is location independent it really shouldn't matter at this point where you live.

Once you settle your roots, maybe find a stable day job, you can start scouting for your dream pad closer to the city.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already as I haven't skimmed the entire thread..... but, I hate to be a pessimist but you really would not even want people to know you have the ability to do that. Trust me. And as some one mentioned, there is not the market or place where that is the norm or required. I'd just pay my rent on time every month and not worry about it.
