Has anyone used the West end Beltline lately? I have walked it twice and driven by several times but haven't seen that many walkers out there.

It's really nice and could easily take some strain off the NE beltline.

Well, I was by there this past weekend and they were open for business. Everything looked good!

Oh, well I suppose that's good. Maybe just the unpaved part of the trail is closed for construction, while that first mile is still open for public use. Cool beans.

I'm never really in that area, but I've had my eye on West End for some time now. Really trying to convince hubby to let us buy a historic bungalow along the Beltline, but he's a tough sale.

Anyone have a recommendation for a place to park to access this trail? I love the Eastside trail, but it's getting so crowded on weekends that I'd like another option.

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is considered the "West Side?" What neighborhoods?

Anything west of downtown and midtown below 75 and north of 20.

Anywhere along Rose circle is a great place to get on the Beltline. I have never seen it crowded there.

Well, West end and Westview, which are both great West side neighborhoods, are both south of I-20. As is much of the Westside Beltline.

'westside' in the classic sense is anything on the west side of atlanta south of marietta blvd and north of campbellton road. however, the yuppies moving into west midtown have decided to take that name for themselves, so when someone says 'westside' they could mean one of two things.
