I was wondering if anyone else has ever been here. It's in Trion, GA in extreme NW GA. It's been a couple of years since I went but I wanted to share the pictures. This is what I like to do being as I am a ghost hunter with a paranormal society.

You can google the story about this place. The short version is back in the 80's a gay couple built a manor house WAY out in the middle of nowhere with no water or electricity. They were murdered by 3 locals. There is a book about it as well.

This is the ruins. It's all WMA now where I have deer hunted in the past. If any of you know of places like this in your town that I could go to and photograph I would like to hear from you!

The girl in a black tee shirt and jeans is me. The guy is a Satanist friend of mine and his friends. I'm Baptist and all but the gay couple that was killed were reportly satanists as well so I thought I might have more paranormal activity.

When was this? In the 1880s?

BTW, I have never heard of it. Sounds interesting though.

I remember reading about this at the time. Horrible. After the murders and the robbery in Trion, the killers stole the victim's car and took off. They killed a Navy officer a few days later. Both still doing life, thank goodness.

Well I guess it WAS the 1980s then. Seems wierd that there would be "ruins" from the 1980s.

And why build the place with no running water or electric in the 80s?

Note:

I fixed the funky URL code you had in your pics. Note, when posting pics, you ONLY need to post the "img" and "/img" tags - not "URL" as well.

No, I haven't heard of this place, but sounds like it could be a great day trip to make one day.
