Hilton Head or the Destin / Fort Walton area. Myrtle Beach on rare occasions.

Hilton Head Island

I love the live oaks with moss in the trees.

Wait a minute, where? All three? I love oak trees with Spanish moss period, beach or no beach nearby.

Maui, when I can afford it.

But usually the Florida gulf coast. Partly because I have relatives there and partly because the beaches are fantastic.

Went to the Caribbean once (Nevis in the Lesser Antilles). Too hot and too many biting bugs.

Yep, try to visit all three annually. I spent all of my summers in St. Marys, GA. So, we go to Amelia over the 4th of July holiday to visit friends/family and we then take a day trip to CI.

In Sept/Oct we visit HHI, cause when we were younger and not as financially savvy, we bought a timeshare there.

Thanks! That sounds like a plan.

Though I love going to the ocean ( I have yet to meet a beach anywhere I haven't loved ) , I am a super huge fan of the beautiful mountain lakes we have in north Georgia . Burton , Rabun , Chatuge , Nottley , Winfield Scott are just a few that have spectacular views ( all but one of those I mentioned have public swimming areas) .Winfield Scott , though super tiny , has a great public beach area ( IMO) .

Since my dear brother has a condo there, Miami Beach (annually) is hard to beat but I've been nearly everywhere in FLA (Gulf Coast beaches are the best), a couple times to the GA coast, a couple of times to San Diego and once to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Santa Monica, Hawaii, Virginia Beach, and the beaches in AL & MS.
