With this project and the HOT lane project on the south end of I-75 in Henry, traffic on this interstate will be pain for the few years. I certainly hope all of this construction will be worth it.

When Cobb gets ready to do something they jump on it with both feet.

I'll give them credit for trying something a little different, but I fear this is just dipping water out of the ocean.

75 from Barrett to Windy Hill is just brutal . . . past the point where I will no longer hire anyone from the Kennesaw or further north.

Yes, you mean a state funded project.

These lanes should be paid 100% by users. Not my taxes since I will likely never use them.

Another project that shows just how ridiculously expensive highways are. You could build 8 downtown streetcars for that money.

so there is $1 Billion to rebuild an interchange and now $800MM to add some reversible lanes. None of which will take a single car off the road.

Imagine if the state was willing to throw this kind of cash at rail...

It could pay for a nice 'starter' commuter rail system using the existing rail network and upgrading where needed, NW corridor.

It really is disappointing. What a short sighted waste.

Whenever some attempts to say there is no money for rail, Ill just point right to this project.
