I am currently a certified teacher in Mississippi. My license is a MAT in Grades 4 thru 8 and is General in All Subjects. I teach 4th grade Science in Jackson and looking to move to Atlanta in two years. For reciprocity, the GPSC wants three years of services from another state before your license transfer. My question is...is the GPSC real strict on the 3 years of teaching experience or will they allow me to get a full license within the state with just 2 years of teaching. Also with my Generalist in all Subjects 4-8 can I still teach Elementary Grades 4th and 5th in Atlanta. Im just a little uncertain about what I need to do because I really dont want to take te GACE.
