I'm just looking forward to the day Chick-fil-a will open on Sundays.

I wonder if I will see it within my lifetime? The day they go public it will happen, if that ever happens.

100% right. Great post, Tiki.

Amazing how the supposedly "tolerant" can take a man's entire life and shrink 93 years down to one issue they disagree with.

Perhaps you will read this, Dan and Me: My Coming Out as a Friend of Dan Cathy and Chick-fil-A*|*Shane L. Windmeyer. I certainly missed it. Perhaps your blind hatred will soften. It is my prayer for you. Hatred eats away at one's heart, mind, health, soul. This article told from the lgbt perspective should be enlightening to us all. Btw, it revolves around the son, Dan, but is representative of his earthly father, Truett Cathy, and his Heavenly Father, Our Lord Jesus Christ, both of whom molded Dan.

Thank you to Tikigod311 for sharing this.

Even as Campus Pride and so many in the community protested Chick-fil-A and its funding of groups like Family Research Council, Eagle Forum and Exodus International, the funding of these groups had already stopped. Dan Cathy and Chick-fil-A could have noted this publicly earlier. Instead, they chose to be patient, to engage in private dialogue, to reach understanding, and to share proof with me when it was official. There was no "caving"; there were no "concessions." There was, in my view, conscience.

Part of me would love to get some nuggets on Sunday, but I hope it doesn't happen. It just says something about the company, regardless of religious allegiance.

Also, when the chairman position was handed over to his son, Truett put in clause that forbid the company to ever go public. Making the shareholder the number one priority can really do damage to a brand's quality. I wish more companies would avoid selling out to shareholders.

Yeah...the "tolerant" crowd are some of the most intolerant and insensitive people you'll ever meet.

I'll bet that company has been structured and set up to continue "as is" for a very long time. I think his sons are of the same ilk.

There is nothing funny about your post. It's incredibly disrespectful.

Wow. How much hate must you harbor to wish death on another human being, and one who has devoted so much of his life and work to doing good for others?

You are the very definition of hypocrite.
