If you live on the southside, and need something to do this is the thread for you. There are many events and festivals that go on here monthly. I'll start with events for Forest Park for October.

SEPTEMBER 27, 2014 - 5K Autumn Fun Run/Walk
The City of Forest Park will be holding its annual 5K Fun Run/Walk September 27, 2014. This is a great
community event focusing on health and fitness. Bring your friends, coworkers, church members, women
groups, men groups, etc. Registration fee is $15 for seniors, $20 in advance, $25 day of race. Come run
and walk through the beautiful city of Forest Park, Georgia with 600 of your closest friends. All paid
participants will receive a long sleeve tee shirt. Awards will be given to first place male and female
winners in 13 categories.

OCTOBER 4, 2014 - Community Wide Yard Sale
Take the hassle out of planning your own yard sale. Join us at the Forest Park Recreation Center for our
Community Yard Sale. We do advertisement. Bring your friends and family for a day of bargain hunting.
"One man's junk is another's treasure". Saturday, October 4, 2014 9am-2pm at Forest Park Recreation
Center Parking Lot. 10'x10' booth rentals are available. Cost: $10/Residents - $20/Nonresidents. Rain
Date: October 11, 2014.

OCTOBER 18, 2014 - Autumn 'N The Park Festival
Saturday, 10:30am-5:30pm - This event will get everyone into a festive
autumn spirit. You may choose from a variety of activities, arts and crafts,
food, games, entertainment and much, much more. This event is held in Starr
Park. Rain Date: October 25, 2014.

OCTOBER 31, 2014 - Magic of Halloween
Join us at the Forest Park Recreation Center 6pm-8pm for an evening of Halloween fun. Wear your
costumes and join the other ghosts and goblins in our costume contest. There will be games, snack, and
plenty of tricks and treats for the spirited children ages 2-12 years old. Fee: 50ȼ per child
