I like the design. I kinda get a Falcons vibe from it, not sure why...

The headline doesn't do the project justice. It is really a "mixed-use project in Castleberry Hill". Not just a "hotel downtown"

From the original link:

Quote:
A team that includes Atlanta-based Gallman Development Group LLC is planning a roughly 200-room hotel with about 130 apartments, retail space and a small park on a site bounded by Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Mitchell, Chapel and Magnum streets.

I won't be surprise if more development spur to Castleberry Hill and eventually will expand and turn into a Modern version of Brooklyn.

Yes, I have thought the same thing when we walk through Castleberry Hill. Although on a smaller scale, it is VERY much like the warehouse districts of Brooklyn. Williamsburg was like Castleberry Hill not too long ago, and Red Hook looks a lot like Castleberry Hill now.

Sweet! That will eat up some of that dead space south of the Dome!

I'm digging this project. Especially considering it is mixed use.
