How can something that moves so slow be such a hazard?

Here's the actual link

and...the cause of the accident was an idiot driver:

Quote:
Streetcar spokeswoman Sharon Gavin told Channel 2 Action News that a car hit the streetcar Sunday near Centennial Olympic Park. She said the driver tried to pass the streetcar while it was turning during a test run.

The streetcar is a repeat offender.

Think about that guy/girl you know gets in repeated accidents and swears they are a good driver and it isn't their fault. It always is their fault and they are awful drivers.

Just sayin...

This is what $100 million gets you these days, a 7 mph 1.3 mile long death machine. I fear for our city's future.

I already hate the streetcar.

Saturday night, I was trying to get to the Tabernacle, but Stevie Wonder was also playing at Philips Arena. The point I'm trying to make is that downtown was a complete and total unmitigated disaster with gridlock absolutely everywhere. It was about as bad as I've ever seen it.

In the midst of all this...empty freaking streetcars were driving around in "testing mode."

Are you kidding me? The city is a mess with cars that can't move down the street, and the city is going to test big huge empty streetcars during this time? Idiotic.

I was so mad I almost turned around and went home. But I stuck it out and I killed someone at the Slayer show.

No surprise given how dangerous cars are. Streetcars should be given their own ROW to keep them protected from drivers.

I'll give you props on the troll job you're doing at the moment.
