As a graduate of Marietta High School c/o 2003. Marietta teachers and admin always pushed the school to achieve the same academic status as west cobb schools and east cobb schools. Hillgrove, Kennesaw Mountain and Allatoona are newer schools also and i think it was Pope High or Wlaton High that finished up renovation a couple years back. West Cobb would be ideal for as commute to work and its also a couple of Cobb to douglasville communter vans throughout west cobb if your husband doesnt feel like driving. From parts of West Cobb to Douglasville can be around 15-20 mins with moving traffic. I have friend who parents moved to powder springs near ch james pkwy and his dad commutes have all been around 20-30 mins during rush hour to douglasville (i dont know if he drives the speed limit)
