I am about to move into an apartment off of Delk road. Do yall know how safe of an area that is? It is about 1 mile off the Delk Road exit off 75. It is on the east side of 75. Would it be safe to go jogging at night in that area?

its not as nearly as bad as it was between the mid 90s and mid 2000s. That was due to it being an intersection with franklin rd. I am talking from experience of living on franklin rd on and off growing up during those years. Most will tell its still bad but too me its just a dead area of 30067 that needs a change. Petty crime and not the violence that gave the area its rep outside off cobb. If you plan on living there for a 1-2 yrs visit the apartments on delk rd and bentley rd and ask questions at each one

The part east of 75 on delk is certainly better than west of 75, but I don't think the area is great. What makes you interested in that area?

The closer to Powers Ferry you get the better. It isn't the best area but it isn't the worst either and Marietta is trying to run off all the bad element on Franklin Rd.

I'd say the closer to Paper Mill you get, the better. Some windy streets back there and any petty thief that commits a crime is going to end up in the woods unintentionally. I see folks jog across the windy hill/powers ferry intersection all the time. You would be tackling some hills and heading into corporate America territory tucked on the Chattahoochee nature preserve. The Wildwood Athletic Club is also right over there, which is a more high end LA Fitness. I used to stroll on those during my lunchbreak.

Not saying you'll be murdered in broad day light, but that's not an area I would move to if I had a choice.

Just dont move over there. From someone who lived on the franklin rd delk rd area during its heyday of violence and being the worst part of marietta(worse than any project marietta had) dont move over there if skeptical. Look at Terrell Mill Rd apartments you still have access to 75 and Cobb Pkwy and just add a extra 2 mins from if you lived on delk rd. There area apartments on Powers Ferry Rd which intersects Delk its very calm and quiet over there
