There are codes for this. Better place to start in the panning dept with city of atl or fulton co.

I would steer clear of 2-story buildings with all the exits on the first floor. The Chicago E2 nightclub stampede still haunts me to this day. It was horrible. I was not there during the incident and had never been to the club but the incident was all over the news and was a sad and horrible situation.

No I'm looking at a single story concept.

Thank goodness. And, of course, no pyrotechnics. Remembering the Rhode Island vlub catastrophe. Good luck.

  • How many square feet are you taking down?
  • How many lounge areas / table tops / size of dance floor?
  • Max capacity per fire code?
  • What kind of crowd do you expect in terms of size?
  • Have you ever noticed that none of the clubs around town have their own parking or enough capacity to service their entire customer base? They have their patrons use public parking for a fee or the owner partners up with a parking lot owner and takes a cut. I'm pretty sure parking is going to be the least of your concerns. You have the cash?

Lastly, to answer your original question, how many clubs have lasted more than 10 yrs? That is how profitable they are.

Each month I almost buy Michael Gidewon's house at foreclosure auction...he keeps getting it postponed. I already bid on his two units at The Four Season's that he lost....lost out on them though. Don't blame him on letting those go...way upsidedown whether he could afford it or not and one of them was completely gutted due to water damage. Google his name.

You can fly high with club, but you better know your way back down.
