I see your point but the job market doesn't usually work that way, especially at large corporations. They aren't going to pay more than market pay for a given level/position and there isn't a pay grade difference between Midtown and Duluth. Tens of thousands of people make the commute everyday and while it may not be ideal they are ok with it for the job opportunity.

When they're young and hungry, they want to live intown....but what do you do with them when they start having families? Then they're going to be hassling you for much larger salaries so they can support those families on intown lifestyles.

Plus the 20-minute train ride to the airport, as opposed to the 45-minute drive from Duluth.

Very good point. Rush hour to the airport is awful. Coincidentally, the same rush hour time on Marta is actually even faster since the trains are running shorter headways.

Both projects are already very much moving forward. In fact other than perhaps Novare's next project at 1163 West Peachtree, I predict that the Amli project will be the next to break ground in Midtown.

Hah, yes, I know. I was sort of hinting. AMLI is definitely moving and obviously Post and the Novare have both been mentioned as moving forward recently. As far as projects that have been talked about, but without any new information, that I could see moving forward: 880 West Peacthree & 1010 West Peachtree. That's assuming they're not moving forward already.
