The poor quality of reporting on this is breathtaking. Cobb County is not "giving The Home Depot $200 million." These are industrial development revenue bonds. The Home Depot is borrowing the money. Sometimes a municipality, county or state will issue such bonds directly and sometimes they'll just facilitate or sponsor the issue through financial institutions. Among other advantages to the company, municipal sponsorship makes the bonds tax exempt. You can look

Thank you for posting something actually factual on this. The MDJ and AJC minions are desperate for attention and nothing gets the attention of unintelligent readers more than "corporation gets taxpayer money."
It's comical that so many people actually think there is a board of 6 county leaders that decide, "yeah, let's take $200 million from school kids/teachers and give it to a corporation so they will remodel an IT facility."
