Hello -

I have been reading threads on city data and can't say enough about how much i love it...I do need some job search advise for Atlanta.
We live in FL and would like to move to Atlanta for personal reasons. However, since we live out of town, we are having a tough time even getting an interview. does anyone have any leads on head hunters/ tips for IT management roles ? Any advise is appreciated, thanks so much,

You are thinking right

We too moved from FL very recently and am in the process of finding apartment

There are no 2 thoughts about ATL being a very good place as far as number of available jobs are concerned

there are lot many IT jobs..and deftly lot better than FL

I miss FL weather and there is nothing in ATL except jobs

you can try indeed.com and start contacting posters proactively

Good luck with your search..

Things might be a lot easier if they dont need to sponsor(h1)

As an InfoSec Engineering Manager in the area, I'd say don't bother with a head hunter. They earn their money when jobs are scarce but IT jobs are hot in Atlanta right now. You're better off combing Indeed and LinkedIn and casting a wide net with your resume. If it's decent, companies will respond to you so they don't have to give a cut to some 3rd party staffing service.

Thanks for the tip. I was wondering about the InfoSec market in Atlanta. What would you recommend to someone who's looking to get into that field? (certs and such)
