Have you noticed a major increase in traffic jams on metro atlanta interstates the last couple weeks almost like there are now an additional 50,000 cars from a month ago? My I-75 commute in the evenings from Riverdale to Marietta used to only take 40 minutes and in the last month it now takes twice as long. Is there work taking place north of Marietta on I-75 effecting traffic throughout metro atlanta as I-75 congestion also effects I-285 traffic?

I have a lot of co-workers coming from above Alpharetta down to airport area that have seen their commute increase to over two hours one-way on a regular basis. I would not expect it to get any better.

Yes. Congestion has been much worse over the past month or so. All day traffic jams on the Connector on Saturdays and Sundays, no particular event is necessarily going on.

I know there is some construction going on, but it seems to effect the opposite directions too. Whatever they are doing on I-20 West is causing major problems all day every day for Southbound traffic on the connector, not sure why it is always congested Northbound.

Yeah I have also noticed that. I have also noticed that 75N is the worst out of all the interstates in the afternoon

Most of the Saturday traffic is because of road construction especially on 285 and 20.

Every time I look at my traffic app there are at least 5 accidents on 75 from Kennesaw to Midtown. Maybe that's why????

The consistent Northbound congestion on the connector is what I don't understand. There isn't any construction in the way.

Before the past month, it wasn't often congested outside of big events on the weekend. Now it is all day every single sat and sun. It's like we got a huge influx of cars all the sudden.

I think it's just that more people are out since spring is here. Plus it's more people traveling that gotta pass through Atlanta. I hate it for those people stuck on 75 on the southside all weekend lol. Festival season isn't even in full gear yet and traffic is already bad

Uhh Spring Break anyone? We have that state called Florida down south of us which attracts a ton of people. 75N was congested down near Locust Grove all afternoon.
