Exactly. Production hasn't moved to Georgia because of the state itself. It was done for the tax breaks, to save money on production costs, and to increase the bottom lines of the producers.

A mild year round climate and a wide variety of filming locations doesn't hurt, either.

"What's your point?"

The previous comments are what make the point. The jobs are aren't coming to GA for its climate.
They are coming because we are paying them to come.

Rather a simplistic argument IMO. It's not like they raised some tax incentive flag and hordes of film producers came running from the Left Coast. This was a protracted and concerted marketing effort that is paying off big time. Don't give me this "They're doing this on the backs of the taxpayers" drivel, either. Economically, this is paying off in a plethora of ways.

No, it is that simple. GA threw out more aggressive subsidies than other states. The only drivel is your Chamber of Commerce nonsense.

Saying that it has benefits doesn't change how productions came here and you can't even admit that.

Take an online course in basic Econ and get back to me later, Debbie Downer.

Not to sound ignorant but why do you think other states stopped with the incentives if they get so much $$$$ back?

So when confronted with reality, you just don't want to hear and your response is to insult others? Really?

"Debbie Downer?" really?

As noted, why do you think that other states who had already gone down this route, have a stop point where they realized that's not the most sound use of state dollars?
