I drive to the airport ever week from Smyrna - I am 3 miles from 285 - it is a total of 20+ miles to Camp Creek Parking and then a bit further to the terminal
Traffic is not that big of an issue on most days. I can generally leave my house 1 1/2 hours before the flight and be fine although I typically give myself and extra 1/2 hour

Thanks all, I'm going to come to town next weekend and take a spin around, will let you know where I land, but I think I will limit contenders to midtown/buckhead/vinings - maybe even a shorter term rental which will allow me to test drive easier; I will miss being close to the beach
