It is an accredited school and a good regional university but it's not a research 1 school like tech, state, or UGA.

In reality it has to do more with your area of study or program. What is your major?

If you want to study nursing then pretty much any state university with a bachelor's in nursing which leads to a license is a good fit.

A engineering school for example like ITT "I don't know if they are accredited or not" is not worth much.

Also name recognition matters, A degree from Emory carries more weight than a degree from UGA, sorry it just does.

KSU is an excellent university for a bachelor's degree. Doesn't matter if it is a tier 1 research university or not. If that really matters in your career trajectory, you can discover that along the way and transfer or... and this is more applicable in most instances... apply to a school for post graduate study where it will then matter. Don't let elitist opinions dissuade you from getting your four year degree, just get it.

KSU is a credible, accredited school. How "good" it is depends on your expectations from the school, your life at the school and the academics program you enroll into.

Someone mentioned Georgia Tech earlier... great engineering school, but mediocre when it comes to some of their lesser known majors.

So, what are you looking for from your college?
