Hey y'all.

After attending Emory Law for 5 years way back in the mid- to late-90s, my family is moving back to East Cobb in the next few weeks. Can't wait to see you again.

Though most of the utilities will figure themselves out, monopolies being what they are... do I have any legitimate cable/Internet options apart from Xfinity? As I'm online a minimum of 10 hours a day for work, and we're an otherwise TV-and Internet-friendly (read: somewhat addicted) family, I'll need the connection to be fairly strong.

On a related note, though we have Hulu... we've tried to cut the cord before, but we're a bit too old-school dependent on local television and live sports to truly do so.

Thanks for your help!

The only other thing that can currently compete is ATT uverse. The internet is slower than the x-finity options, but customer service is worlds apart. Our family of 3 didnt really have any issues with ATT but it really depends on how much you are streaming, etc...I do know ATT is coming out with the gigabit speed to compete with google, but I dont think it will be everywhere and will be quite pricey. Either way I despise xfinity due to easily the worst customer service I have ever received in my life, and if you search the boards many people will tell you the same. They both offer a 30 day money back guarantee so I would try att first to see if it works for you and if not than go to the other option.
