Does anyone know some Parking decks that have good views of the Midtown or downtown skylines? I bought a new car and would like to take some pictures of it with the skyline in the background.

One Vinings Mountain in Vinings.

Agree, but that is private and I doubt people would be able to get in if they don't live there.

Nearby is a deck that would probably work well, at the office building next to the Fairfield Inn on Paces Ferry. The top level of the deck is actually on street level, as it is built on top of a steep ridge, so access is easy. I have taken photos there in the past and no one has bothered me.

I definitely agree that anywhere near Paces Ferry and Cumberland would provide one of the best views of the city of any area in the metro.

You can typically go up the parking deck here:

2859 Paces Ferry Rd SE, Atlanta, GA 30339

Not sure if this is One Vinings Mountain.

Take the second entrance into the parking deck, it is a ramp up to the fifth (?) floor and you can go a bit higher from there.

I have taken several visitors here in the past

The skyline is more in the distance (downtown and midtown), but I have always thought that the view from atop the Rich's (Macy's) parking deck at Lenox Square afforded "urban glamour" views on a clear evening.

What about the deck at Tech Square that is beside the conference center hotel?

I've always heard the deck at SCAD is a great place to take photos. Not sure how access works though.

Maybe the parking lot behind Park Tavern? Not exactly a parking deck, but the view from the 17th Street bridge is awesome... not for taking pictures of a parked car though...
