Two Caribbean parades this year (Atlanta, Decatur: 2015, to move, train station)

This isn't going to work....I mean it will work but the attendance will be low because it's two parades at the same time catering to the same group of people

I do not have a horse in the game, but I can say it really does not sound like it will work. I don't know the names, but I think the second link is the regular one for Memorial Day weekend.

Have an ex who is Trini and I think it's probably better in the future they join the two organizations to gain the best support. It's was hard enough for someone not from the Carib community to even know there was a parade and other activities before so having does not sound like a good idea. Stick together.

Thing is they had to move it because of the streetcar. It was already to spread out before and now they have going to split the number in attendance since half will be at the another parade going on at the same time. They should have had it on the Beltline

Oh ok, I can see the streetcar being a conflict I thought it might have been something about who is selling costumes to whom.

I wanted to go but it seemed to confusing and I was not sure if both were free or not so I will probably just enjoy the Jazz Festival.

Yea this is pretty lame. My routine is usually catch the parade and then head over to Piedmont park but the route they have it taking is pretty silly. And I dont know what the deal is with the one in Decatur but i'm definitely not going that far.

And the parades are always free (the best parts to me) but you usually have to have a ticket to get in the parks.

One of the parades end at O4W Park. Afterwards you can take the Beltline to Piedmont Park
