Isn't that a maintenance issue? I don't think that would fall under city planning.

It is maintenance but the city should not approve any new projects unless they can get the potholes fixed.

The power lines should go underground on all new projects but that's another whole issue.

GA Power runs the power line, not CoA. The cost to bury transmission lines is astronomical and the money is better used other places.

Well, yeah, but can't the city require developers to fund the cost of undergrounding the lines on new projects like they do in the suburbs?

He is the Commissioner of the Department of Planning and Community Development not Director of Planning. The Office of Planning is a division within that department, but the Office of Buildings as well Office of Housing are also divisions within that department.

No, because that is not something the city of Atlanta cannot force any public utility to do without drastic increases the costs of developments and potential legal liability for itself. FYI, only a handful of municipalities can do that, but they cannot force any utility to underground their lines.

Uh, that is something the City of Atlanta Office of Public Works is responsible for road maintenance, so he wouldn't be able to help you with that...

Well, I'm not talking about trying to force some public utility to do it.

I was talking about sticking it on the developer like they do in the SPIs.
