Where in Sandy Springs is her office? If it isn't walking distance from a MARTA station, you could be looking at a lot of time to get to work.

Consider Buckhead, particularly the area around Pharr Road, Piedmont Road, Roswell Road?

While not as cool as say the Museum area of Houston, it has much of what she is looking for and multiple options to get to Sandy Springs (depending on where in SS).

The more she spends on rent, the less partish (young) the crowd will be. I have a 45 year old friend who just moved into some apartments on Pharr Road and she is very pleased.

Northpark Towncenter which is .3 miles from the MARTA station. Thanks for the tip. I’ve noted the boundaries. Which apartment complex did your friend move into?

If she drives to work from midtown, she can take GA400 to work. Since most people will be headed south and she will be headed north it should not be that bad.

Excellent news. Northpark has direct access to the Sandy Springs train station.

I think Midtown is the best choice as well. It would almost always be quicker to take MARTA if she lives/works near a station. The commute in the morning is doable, but there is no escaping the south bound traffic between 400/285 400/85 and 85/75. I take this train daily and looking at the traffic in the evening gives me headaches. One of my daily rituals is checking the traffic delay signs. I've seen the 10th St 5 Miles, 1-1.5 hours display on numerous occasions.

MARTA is one of the safest transit systems in North America, rail cars have cameras installed on them, and there is an app that allows riders to report issues, MARTA - Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority The train is reliable and fast, with trains arriving every 10 minutes during peak hours. The nice thing about commuting by transit, is if she signs up for Georgia Commute Options Georgia Commute Options, she can sign up for guaranteed ride home, where if there is an emergency they will pay for a taxi ride.
Midtown is the perfect location for what it sounds like your daughter wants, next choice would be the apartments around the Buckhead Station. Sandy Springs is nice, but overly suburban and she would have to drive everywhere. Midtown and Buckhead offer a lot of activities and common aged people are her. Midtown offers Piedmont Park (Atlanta's central park) Piedmont Park Conservancy and the BeltLine Atlanta BeltLine // Where Atlanta Comes Together.

Sandy Springs and Perimeter/Dunwoody are just as dense and full of things to do as Lindbergh and Buckhead with plenty of people her age as well.
