Sarcasm. This topic has been beaten to death. No one really cares what Creflo is doing( except you).

Are you sure, you aren't confusing it with his old home in Guilford Forest in South Fulton?

Nah, I was in the car with a co-worker and we were passing it and he said he didn't live there anymore.

Co-worker could be wrong, Curbed could be wrong. Probably an equal likelihood.

Let's see. The context is a thread about the personal wealth of a local preacher who has made quite a name for himself by preaching from scriptures that back a prosperity message. You use the same book and quote directly from the red words on the subject of wealth. Seems in context to me.

Some will see scripture and scream "out of context" just because it is scripture.

Or, that the message was originally meant primarily for those who lived in those times and places?

On the other hand, if many nowadays were afraid that things were about to come to a screeching halt, from whom would they want to learn how to live then, some perfumed and pampered multimillionaire or a humble streetwise homeless person?

Times certainly have changed, but uncertainty about the future hasn't. Really can't begrudge anyone who follows one path to freedom or another, we all end up as dust anyway.

If Jesus was around today, do you think he'd take a more supportive view of preachers using their ministries to acquire large estates and luxurious personal jets?

If Jesus were around, we wouldn't be having the debate. Things would be different, at least that's what Christians think.

Been a long time since I was in church or read the Bible, but seem to recall that Jesus' message had more to do with forgiveness than judgment?

You could say in some respects, that Jesus still is around today. You almost can't sling a stone around here and not hit one of his "houses". Whether what is being promulgated or encouraged in any of those places now, matches or mirrors faithfully what was originally said and done back in the day, is a question that may only lead to vexation.

From all accounts, what the dude said and did (with some exceptions) was just vague or cryptic enough to be open to interpretation, which is rather convenient... at least that way it's still relevant today for those who like it and live it, as they see fit.

Are in Creflo's congregation?

If not I have no idea why you would be defending such a con artist.
