“To give you an idea,” Martino explains, “France v Croatia at the World Cup final was played in front of [78,000] and a couple of hours later we played to a home attendance of 73,000.”

That's just flat-out amazing given it's only their second season. They're also the odds on favorite to win the Supporters' Shield.

Manager Gerardo Martino leaving Atlanta United | AJC

Guess the rumors of him going to coach the Mexican National Team may be true.

Hoping the new manager is foreign. I don’t want a manager that only has MLS experience. Maybe Wenger? Lol

Default Atlanta United Advances to Eastern Conference Championship

Congratulations Atlanta United! I was listening on the XM Radio, and sounded like a great atmosphere. I love the diversity and international feel of the games. I love winning and not just moral victories.

Default Atlanta United Most Valuable Team

This is interesting

The United, which are preparing for the Eastern Conference finals matchup against NYCFC, have sold more than one million tickets this season — far and away the most in MLS history — but are also responsible for one-quarter of the league's merchandise sales through the MLS store, Forbes reported. The teams' top two stars, Josef Martinez and Miguel Almiron, are among the best-selling jerseys in the league

Pretty incredible. Would it be stretch based on this, could AU to be considered a "legacy" franchise.?
The Braves although not currnetly great might be the ckosest thing if not.

I gotta admit, I had doubts soccer would take off here. Well played, Atlanta United.

Arthur Blank must be proud! I love how the team is investing in soccer fields at Five Points and West End. I must admit - I’m showing interest in season tickets. I love the international feel of the games - it doesn’t even feel like Atlanta. I hope fans come up with some fresh songs and chants that will truly makes us unique in the soccer world.
