Hi.

I'm that guy that brings a laptop to places to catch up on work -- typically over the weekend -- and have some coffee or food. But, Starbucks is getting played out.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for establishments that are laptop and single-person friendly; preferably non-table service. Basically, somewhere you can do this without looking weird.

Here are some places I've tried so far:
  • Starbucks/Caribou (obviously)
  • Octane (not bad, if you can get a seat)
  • Dancing Goats-PCM (nice place, but no tables!)
  • Sweet Hut-Midtown (my favorite so far; their seats are comfy)

There is a Panera Bread right down the street from Sweet Hut.
You could also try Einsteins Bagels if you are an early bird.

Marriott Courtyard lobby - buy a coffee or something at the "Bistro" and settle in to a nice work space.
