Another beautiful spring is winding down and summer is upon us, making our brief winter but a distant memory, which probably helps explain why, for the fifth year in a row, Atlanta is ranked No. 1 on Penske Truck Rental’s Top Moving Destinations List.
The Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the State of Georgia do a fantastic job enticing companies to relocate here, but surely one of our biggest advocates is Mother Nature herself. Four distinct seasons and delightfully minimal snowfall make ours a region many would love to call home.

I am sure the weather plays some role, but I would think the biggest reason would be our relatively low cost of living, especially compared to other large metro areas, as noted later in the article. Especially noteworthy is housing cost... You can, quite simply, get much more house for your dollar here, which enables companies to pay their workers less than they would elsewhere and still maintain a higher standard of living. A win-win for both parties.

Those are definitely factors, but Atlanta is also maturing as a city and has begun to offer more walkable, urban areas in addition to the option of beautiful/accessible suburbs. It's the best of both worlds - who couldn't find a happy medium in this city?
