SIAP, Rather interesting. AJC also had an article Friday in the print edition saying there were 15 buildings under contract and that they were looking at using abandoned and forgotten floors to dramatically expand underground.
I heard stories about underground being bigger, what happened to the other parts?

Well people built on top of old Atlanta. So a lot is probably part of basements. Some got demolished.

^ Good point. The underground portion of Underground Atlanta- wonder if WRS will keep the name- is perhaps the most unique and intriguing part of the development, primarily because of the history and topography. While the majority of the press coverage has focused on the street level projections, it could be interesting to identify what is being planned for the below grade real estate.

Parts of the original Underground were lost to the construction of Five Points Station and the MARTA lines through downtown.

Even one of Atlanta's wealthiest residents needs a ten piece of lemon pepper.

If you weren't able to read Amy Wenk and Maria Saporta's article about the new Underground renderings on the Biz Chronicle website because of their paywall, the article is now available for free on the Saporta Report. Plans for Underground Atlanta get even bigger - SaportaReport

Yep, it is all a conspiracy. Meanwhile, I remember someone ^^^ said blacks are the more homophobic than any other group. I am certain that (biased) opinion is so valid.

Maybe people with a certain whitewashed (delusional/willfully obtuse) mindsets (like yours) are evil and those whom are socially aware should unite against that... Anyways, I won't go there.

That is HUGE, tons more than just Underground Atlanta. What an incredible amount of redevelopment for south downtown! Peachtree Street south of Five Points has never been inviting, it looks like a crappy section of Memorial Dr in unincorporated Dekalb. These developments could and probably will dramatically change South Downtown. The area has great bones, interesting history, you know... the type of things that attract the oh so desired Millennial clientele. This may finally be South Downtown's time

Agreed. What they're doing on Peachtree reminds me a little bit of Ben Carter's activity on Broughton Street in Savannah. I always loved that street when I was in school in Savannah, but its owners wouldn't invest what they needed to to get the tenants that the street really deserved. Carter's turning it all around, and I hope WRS can do the same in south downtown on Peachtree.
