Can anyone give me their impression of the Habersham of Buckhead. I'm thinking about renting a condo there. I am a young, single male. I am mostly concerned about crime, having had my apartment broken into while I was in college. I don't know the Buckhead area that well so I am wondering what your thoughts on the surroundings are. From Google Maps I can tell it is right near that corner of Roswell Rd. and Piedmont.

I think that area is fine... though I don't know the specific complex, it is one of the more expensive areas of town, though the corner is located in a very commercial area.

It is a good area, and the fact that all the crappy bars are gone from the main drag in Buckhead along P'tree will pretty much eliminate much of the evening riff-raff. The only concerns I would have about this area is traffic from commuters and disruption due to construction of the "new Buckhead" concept they are trying to implement throughout that area. Overall, though, I would say you could do a lot worse and it would be a good place to live. Especially being single and renting, I would say you will be fine and it's a good locale for getting to going out places.

I have lived in ATL for over 15 years and Buckhead (SOBU) now for 2 years. The area you are speaking of in the "Buc" is good but very busy. extreme traffic at times, but you are close to everything "Buc" has to offer.
I am actually like 2 miles south of you on ptree.
On the corner Roswell/piedmont there are several Mexican places I frequnet for affordable eats and drinks.
Many working folks all throughout your immediate area as it is the "Buc" business district.
