Does anyone know anything about the parking garage at North Springs Marta station for the handicap. I will get there around 10:00-11:00 AM on a weekday and I can not walk very far for very long plus I have a lung issue and have oxygen. Is there a elevator to the train platform and handicap places close to the elevator?

When I get to the airport, I will need help from Marta to get me to the airline desk to check in. I have already made arrangements to have the airlines help me to the gate.

I have tried several times to call the Marta phone # for mobility help and after mashing in number of buttons, I still never got a person.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Very frustrated with Martas communication.

There is a parking deck with handicap spaces on the main (Ground) level,

Its probably 200-300 yards from parking lot to train platform.

There is a elevator that goes from the ground level to the Train level/platform (Check Marta website to make sure its working).

MARTA - Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority

Marta can not help you when you get to the airport from the platform to the airline checkin, your on your own.

Honestly is sound like someone should drive you to the airport, or accompany you to the airport,

We used to live in Massachusetts and there was a service called The RIDE that handled needs like this, but the closest I could find in Georgia is North Fulton's GATE service, which seems to be a service that offers a 75% discount on taxi service.

Gate will not take the OP to the airport, its a local around North Fulton Service.

Marta mobility is a service similar to Boston's The Ride, But they will not go from North Springs to the Airport.

I think that the airport help people can/will wheel you in a wheelchair all the way to and from the MARTA platform.

I saw one guy doing this the last time I had a flight (he had just deposited a customer out of a wheelchair onto a MARTA train and was taking the elevator with the wheelchair back down to the airport).

You should call back and ask.

They have a wheelchair service at the airport. They would be the ones to ask.
